The BraBall:
Thanks

WOW! We've done it! After three long years, The strange, wonderful, improbable BraBall sculpture is FINISHED!

More than 7,000 bras were added to the BraBall on August 24, 2003 at the Final BraBall Roll-On in San Francisco. In October, 2003, at three consecutive small work parties, the remaining 900 "fancy" bras were added by friends and family, many who have been involved in the project since the very beginning. On November 9, 2003, my three sisters, my 5-year-old niece, and I added the last five bras to the BraBall.

The final count is 18,085 bras. The BraBall stands 5 feet tall and weighs more than 1,800 pounds!

I deeply appreciate the contributions of so many wonderful people, especially those whose bra donations have helped create the BraBall sculpture. The BraBall is a monument to your generosity and sense of community.

I've been honored to read the heartfelt letters that thousands of you included along with your donated bras. It's been a great pleasure meeting many of you at the BraBall Roll-On events. Thank you for your willingness to share the very bras off your back. I could not have done any of this without your "foundation" of "support."
